Have you ever been able to bring to life an image that had only previously been in your head? That is exactly what this session was. It could not have been any closer to the way I envisioned.
Since I was little my mom always referred to my fashion sense and style as old ladyish. I used to think this was mean, but these days I embrace my love of vintage and a shout back to eras gone by. The minute I saw this dress I knew I had to have it. I loved the sheer sleeves and the delicate rose color. I immediately envisioned a beautiful woman in a flower crown wading in the water.
Fast forward a year, and the dress was still hanging on a hanger in my closet. I just couldn't get it together. I had a very specific landscape in mind, and had no idea where to find a location like it. Then a few weeks before the shoot I was hiking with a friend in Lamoille Canyon. We decided to try a new trail and I'm so happy we did! I couldn't get it out of my head. I knew I had found the place. Now there was only one thing missing, the woman.
Now I had a location and the perfect dress, but I was missing someone to wear it. I put out a model call and got a ton of response. But I had a specific vision in mind and no one that has responded fit in to it. I realized I had missed a notification and had a message on my business account. When I opened the message I was ecstatic, Christina was exactly what I was looking for! She is the owner of Fringe Salon and Spa in Elko, Nevada and drop dead gorgeous!
Working with her was amazing. She has an effortless beauty and an amazing personality. We clicked right away. You can't imagine how excited I was with how these images turned out. This session will always hold a special place in my heart!
